Wyoming has one of the largest supermajority Republican legislatures in the Country, but fails to deliver on conservative policies,” said CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp. “When it came to issues like closing the primaries to prevent Democrats from picking Republican nominees, banning racist indoctrination in the classroom, and providing parents the ability to pick the best educational opportunities for their kids, Wyoming Republicans failed to deliver.”
Several Wyoming state legislators are recognized by CPAC for their conservative voting records based on the just-released analysis from CPAC Foundation’s Center for Legislative Accountability.

Among the votes scored in CPAC's 2022 Ratings of Wyoming were bills that addressed life, protections against men competing in women’s sports, Second Amendment rights, school curriculum transparency, election integrity, tax cuts, and school choice.
In 2022, Republicans held a supermajority in the Wyoming State Legislature. This gave them the opportunity to pass key legislation expanding school choice, protecting women’s sports, and defending life. These issues, coupled with conservative policies such as lowering taxes, protecting the Second Amendment, and upholding the American family, created the basis by which CPAC Foundation rated Wyoming legislators.
The Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA), an initiative of the CPAC Foundation, is the premier organization for holding lawmakers accountable. The CLA produces the longest-running conservative congressional scorecard and our state program is the only one in the nation that scores all 8,000 lawmakers in the 50 states across every policy area.
